About this role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Associate to join our growing UK Mid-Cap coverage team. As Senior Associate within the Mid-Cap Global Corporate Banking team, you will work with Mid-Cap Bankers and Product Partners including DCM, ECM, M&A, IB Industry Coverage, Credit and Treasury Services. The group focuses on mid-cap companies requiring traditional banking services plus investment banking products.
You will help gain, manage and maintain client relationships across Europe in coordination with senior Bankers. This involves conducting industry and company research, credit analysis, partnering on transaction origination and execution, plus country-level reporting. The role supports deal teams and country leadership with pitch book preparation and seamless coordination among stakeholders.
Day-to-day work includes executing transactions from pitch to close alongside DCM, ECM and M&A teams for clients. You will prepare marketing materials on financing alternatives, working capital optimization and peer analysis. Collaboration with credit underwriting, product partners and Senior Bankers drives revenue opportunities and client deliverables.
The position offers exposure to the full breadth of J.P. Morgan products like M&A, debt and equity capital markets, hedging and treasury services. Ideal for those with prior Corporate or Investment Banking experience and corporate finance background. Thrive in a fast-paced environment building financial models and supporting strategic advisory.
Requirements
- United Kingdom 2:1 Bachelor’s degree or similar with outstanding academic credentials
- Fluency in English
- Strong corporate finance, credit, analytical, and modelling skills to collaborate with credit underwriting teams and IB partners on pitches and executions
- Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Highly motivated, productive team player with essential partnership and communication skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Commercial mind-set and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Responsibilities
- Work alongside Senior Bankers and Product Partners, particularly DCM, ECM and M&A teams, to execute transactions from initial pitch through marketing to close
- Prepare marketing materials for client meetings covering financing alternatives, working capital optimization, industry and peer analysis
- Support Senior Bankers to generate new revenue opportunities from prospects and existing clients
- Collaborate with credit underwriting teams on analysis, structuring and documentation of credit requests
- Build and use financial models to support financing and Investment Banking transactions
- Coordinate and support product and industry coverage partners to produce and distribute client deliverables
- Develop understanding of J.P. Morgan products including M&A, debt capital markets, equity capital markets, interest rate and currency hedging, treasury services
- Assist with country-level reporting requirements and data management
