The Corporate Banking Finance Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for providing management with analysis and insight of Corporate Banking's financial results. This role coordinates with the broader Finance team to utilize in-depth disciplinary knowledge. It generates reports and contributes to new techniques for improving processes and workflow.

Key activities include contributing to monthly and quarterly business reviews and participating in forward-looking processes like forecasts and strategic plans. The role addresses ad hoc strategic issues and develops review materials for leadership and regulators. It partners with global stakeholders to manage actuals and projections.

The team supplies the Banking Chief Financial Officer and senior management with financial analysis and projections. It facilitates decision-making for global products, regions, and functions, supporting external stakeholders like analysts and regulators. Deliverables cover performance analyses, target setting, budgets, and competitor analytics.

This position offers opportunity to learn drivers of the Corporate Banking business and gain exposure to senior Finance and business management. It enables partnering with departments like Treasury, Product Control, and Tax. The role builds skills in influencing strategy through strong partnerships.

Requirements

Appropriate experience working with a variety of financial platforms
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated presentation skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical approach to client, product, and financial strategy
Leadership skills relying on influence and building strong partnerships to execute business and financial plans

Responsibilities

Contribute to monthly and quarterly business reviews
Participate in forward-looking processes including forecasts, strategic/operating plans, monthly outlooks, and review results
Contribute to development of review material for internal leadership and external regulator reviews
Address strategic issues on an ad hoc basis complementary to regular planning and analysis
Partner with global functional and business stakeholders to deepen analysis and manage financial processes
Support Corporate Banking Lead Finance Officer, business heads, and senior management with commercial insight and analyses
Operate with limited direct supervision and exercise independence of judgement
Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, driving compliance and ethical judgment
