About this role

You will work with front office stakeholders and functional partners across the firm, leading a large volume of complex, fast-paced projects to meet objectives of the Business Operations team and Global Corporate Bank in EMEA. The team is dedicated to understanding, analyzing, and developing recommendations on operational, regulatory, and reputational risks. Projects involve interacting with banking teams, subject matter experts, and senior leaders for large cap clients HQ’d in EMEA.

Lead a large portfolio of fast-paced, highly visible projects with business impact, socialized to Global Corporate Banking executive management. Deliverables are non-routine, complex, unmapped, and allow creative solution approaches. Perform end-to-end project management from scoping to timely completion.

Collaborate in a dynamic team environment with front office, functional control partners, and coverage teams. Balance uncertainty and adaptability while supporting a growing business. Interact heavily across EMEA Global Corporate Banking supporting large cap clients.

Drive operational improvements, risk assessments, and new initiatives with innovative solutions. Develop as a subject matter expert in international regulatory requirements. Challenge the status quo and inspire teams through solutions-oriented analysis.

Requirements

  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects, deliverables, and deadlines
  • Analytical skills to assess large data sets, develop reporting, and identify operational risk or control gaps
  • Independent, comfortable dealing with uncertainty, self-motivated, adaptable, and flexible in dynamic environment
  • Solutions-oriented with strong ability to analyze opportunities and problems, recommend solutions, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to soundly execute quantitative and qualitative analysis and draw salient conclusions
  • Strong interactive personal skills and ability to influence others for positive results
  • Ability to manipulate and query large data sets or willingness to learn
  • Experience in banking, operations, or control management

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end support to the Risk & Control framework for the EMEA Global Corporate Bank
  • Support growing Global Corporate Banking business in EMEA by identifying operational improvements and driving change management
  • Participate in strategy, risk assessments, and rolling out new business initiatives
  • Serve as subject matter expert for international regulatory requirements and provide expertise in audits, compliance tests, and regulatory asks
  • Manage end-to-end projects including scoping, execution plans, troubleshooting, and ensuring timely completion
  • Perform root cause analysis on operational issues, recommend solutions, and ensure changes are implemented
  • Identify and deliver appropriate solutions addressing needs of clients, customers, and stakeholders
