About this role

Citi is looking for full-time Analysts to join the Global Subsidiaries Group (GSG) team in London. GSG, part of Corporate Banking, are relationship-focused finance professionals responsible for complex financial issues facing top multi-national clients. As a GSG Analyst, you will drive client dialogue on treasury, working capital, liability management, liquidity, funding, risk management, and investment solutions.

You will join a training program in London with in-depth education on fundamentals of the Analyst role and Citi's culture. Initial training starts from the GSG Team in Geneva in February, followed by a six-eight week program in London in July. Training will continue on the job, regardless of your degree background.

Your time will involve conducting accounting and financial statement analysis, fundamental risk and credit analysis, and comprehensive client business analysis to shape relationship strategies. You will liaise daily with product and Citi network partners, assist in client presentations, and structure cash management, trade finance, and corporate finance deals. GSG serves world-leading corporations demanding highest standards.

Requirements

  • In final year of university or have graduated
  • Expected to achieve or have achieved a 2:1 (or equivalent) at undergraduate level in any degree discipline
  • Fluent in Mandarin language
  • Interest in business
  • Commitment to personal growth and career development with strong desire to learn
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Desire to develop deep understanding of the financial industry
  • Unquestioned commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making

Responsibilities

  • Conduct accounting and financial statement analysis
  • Complete fundamental risk and credit analysis
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of client's business and needs to shape and execute relationship strategy
  • Liaise with product and Citi network partners on a daily basis
  • Assist in presentation and development of new ideas to clients
  • Structure and execute cash management, trade finance and corporate finance deals
