About this role

The Analyst supports senior officers in developing Corporate Banking business with prospect companies and maintaining relationships with existing accounts. Key roles include high quality account administration, reporting, and assisting in new business through transaction analysis and structuring. The role requires independent work with guidance from experienced officers and some client contact.

Daily tasks involve assisting with term sheet analysis, due diligence, credit presentations for senior management and credit committees, and negotiating documentation with clients. Monitor assigned portfolios by conducting annual reviews, checking compliance certificates, and participating in KYC processes. Research companies and transactions using public and private sources to prepare analyses.

Work closely with deal teams on live transactions, provide timely client support, and participate in marketing efforts with Directors and MDs, including pitch distribution. Collaborate in an inclusive, high-performing culture committed to results within a purpose-driven team. Understand the Bank's risk appetite and culture in daily decisions.

Gain exposure to global business areas and product teams while working on research projects. Prepare client presentations and daily market commentary, keeping abreast of market trends, economic releases, and factors affecting movements. Deliver exceptional client support throughout.

Requirements

  • Relevant Analyst experience (ideally 2nd year Analyst with Natural Resources experience)
  • Passion for Banking and Finance
  • Demonstrated interest and knowledge in the financial markets
  • Proven record of outstanding achievement in academic and extracurricular activities
  • Strong independent thinking and decision making skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist with analysis of term sheets and due diligence materials, preparation of credit presentations and recommendations for senior management, risk management and London Credit Committee
  • Assist with monitoring of assigned portfolio including annual reviews, compliance certificates and regulatory/KYC processes
  • Research companies and transactions using public and private information sources to prepare analyses
  • Work closely with deal teams on live transactions and provide timely client support
  • Participate in marketing efforts with Directors/MDs including distribution of marketing pitches
  • Prepare client presentations and daily market commentary
  • Understand the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Work on research projects as required
