About this role
As a Pool Analyst within the Mid-Cap Global Corporate Banking team, you will work with Mid-Cap Bankers and Product Partners including Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Investment Banking Industry Coverage, Credit and Treasury Services. This group focuses on mid-cap companies requiring traditional banking services plus investment banking products. You will help provide a range of financing solutions and strategic advisory.
You will play an integral part in gaining, managing and maintaining client relationships across Europe in coordination with senior Bankers. This includes conducting industry and company research, credit analysis and partnering with product and industry specialists on transaction origination and execution. You will also handle general country-level reporting requirements.
The role supports deal teams and country leadership with accountability for pitch book preparation, transaction execution and reporting. You will ensure seamless coordination among deal team members, product partners and internal stakeholders. Work overlaps with industry partners, product partners and investment banking teams.
The ideal candidate has previous Corporate or Investment Banking experience with a corporate finance background. You will develop an understanding of the full breadth of J.P. Morgan products and services, including M&A, debt and equity capital markets, hedging and treasury services. This position builds strong collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- United Kingdom 2:1 Bachelor’s degree or similar with outstanding academic credentials
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in Italian and/or French
- Strong corporate finance, credit, analytical, and modelling skills
- Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Highly motivated, productive team player with partnership and communication skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Commercial mind-set and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Responsibilities
- Work alongside Senior Bankers and Product Partners within DCM, ECM and M&A teams to execute transactions from initial pitch through marketing to close
- Prepare marketing materials for client meetings covering financing alternatives, working capital optimization, industry and peer analysis
- Support Senior Bankers to generate new revenue opportunities from prospects and existing clients
- Collaborate with credit underwriting teams on analysis, structuring and documentation of credit requests
- Build and use financial models to support financing and Investment Banking transactions
- Coordinate and support product and industry coverage partners to produce and distribute client deliverables
- Develop understanding of the full breadth of J.P. Morgan products and services including M&A, debt capital markets, equity capital markets, interest rate and currency hedging, treasury services
- Assist with country-level reporting requirements and data management
