About this role

At EY-Parthenon, the Financial Services Strategy team seeks Directors to lead diverse and demanding projects for blue chip and entrepreneurial clients. Benefiting from EY’s full spectrum of services, this role leverages deep strategy development, transaction and commercial experience to deliver real-world value in a world of increasing complexity. We partner with CEOs, boards, private equity and governments every step of the way.

Directors work with a range of Financial Services clients including banks, insurers, payments providers, wealth managers and FinTechs. They advise on strategy development such as growth strategy, product strategy and new market entry, as well as supporting corporate and private equity clients on investment and divestment.

You'll work with a high-performing, integrated team focused on a variety of global and local corporate and private equity clients. The Financial Services sector is highly dynamic, shaped by regulation, new entrants, digitisation and evolving customer behaviour, offering a complex and exciting environment. You'll have a diverse range of stretching leadership experiences.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in strategy development, transactions, and commercial due diligence.
  • Deep sector knowledge of financial services including banking, insurance, payments, wealth management, and FinTech.
  • Ability to lead diverse and demanding projects for blue chip and entrepreneurial clients.
  • Experience in commercial due diligence including market size, competitor analysis, customer requirements, and revenue forecasts.
  • Experience in corporate strategy including performance assessment, competitive analysis, and strategic roadmap definition.
  • Experience working with both corporate and private equity clients on investment, acquisition, and divestment.
  • Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-performing, integrated team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead diverse and demanding projects for blue chip and entrepreneurial clients.
  • Work with a range of Financial Services clients including banks, insurers, payments providers, wealth and asset managers, and FinTechs.
  • Advise on strategy development such as growth strategy, product strategy, and new market entry.
  • Support corporate and private equity clients on investment, acquisition, and divestment of FS-specific businesses.
  • Conduct commercial due diligence in buy-side and sell-side scenarios, analyzing market size, competitor landscape, customer requirements, and revenue forecasts.
  • Perform corporate strategy work including assessment of institutional performance, competitive analysis, and definition of strategic roadmap for growth, product, new market entry, and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with a high-performing, integrated team on a variety of global and local corporate and private equity clients.
  • Take on diverse stretching leadership experiences.
