About this role
You will work as part of the European AML Compliance Advisory Team supporting Capital Markets Europe. This role involves managing financial crime risk including money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions and bribery. This is a 12-month fixed term contract based at 100 Bishopsgate, London, requiring 4 days in the office.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include supporting the Head of AML Advisory and providing counsel to business lines and support functions. You will assist with developing local policies, tracking regulatory findings, reviewing client risk ratings, and enhancing management reporting. You will also assist in delivering financial crime training and drafting risk assessments for new products.
You will join the European AML Compliance team at RBC, a leading global bank. The environment thrives on progressive thinking and collaboration to deliver trusted outcomes. This role offers exposure to Capital Markets, Investor & Treasury Services, and Asset Management.

Requirements
- Good understanding of the AML/Financial Crime legal and regulatory framework particularly across Europe.
- Solid experience working within an AML Advisory function, preferably within Investment or Corporate Banking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Educated to degree level or similar equivalent (preferred).
- Professional qualification in AML/Financial Crime (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Support the Head of AML, Capital Markets Europe in providing AML Advisory Services to the Capital Markets business.
- Provide counsel and guidance to Capital Markets, Investor & Treasury Services, and support functions on the AML Compliance framework.
- Assist with the development and implementation of local and regional policies and procedures to meet enterprise standards.
- Track and resolve regulatory, audit and internal compliance findings.
- Review and opine on client risk ratings to ensure appropriate risk rating methodology.
- Support and enhance management reporting to assess and improve the Financial Crime framework.
- Assist in the delivery of financial crime related training to key stakeholders.
- Draft risk assessments for new products or changes to existing products.
