CIBC Capital Markets provides dynamic, fast-paced capital markets work experience in the Corporate Banking team through our Summer Analyst programme. The bank's focus in Europe is on Infrastructure, Renewables and Energy Transition.

As a Summer Analyst, work within deal teams on live transactions, gaining experience across different products, industries and clients. Rotate around various product desks including Origination, Syndicate, Loan Trading and Primary Sales. Assist in idea generation, financial markets analysis, and risk monitoring.

Work on specific projects across various industries throughout the origination and execution phase to asset management. Attend and contribute to team meetings. Work closely alongside partner desks including Investment Banking, DCM and Global.

Requirements

Pursuing undergraduate degree in finance, economics, business or related field
Strong quantitative and analytical skills for financial markets analysis
Interest in infrastructure, renewables and energy transition sectors
Familiarity with corporate lending and capital markets products
Proficiency in Excel for modeling and risk monitoring
Ability to work on deal teams across origination and execution
Knowledge of investment banking advisory services

Responsibilities
