About this role

You will be working in the Infrastructure and Power team within the Investment Banking division at UBS Global Banking, based in London. The team is one of the leading Infrastructure and Power franchises in EMEA, active in many of the sector's landmark transactions.

As an Analyst, you will provide critical analytical support in the team's origination efforts and transaction execution. Your focus will be on M&A and Equity, Debt, and Private Capital Markets transactions for both corporate and financial sponsor clients.

The primary sector focus includes Power and Renewables, Transport Infrastructure, and Value-add sectors such as Social Infrastructure and Business Services. You will also have opportunities for cross-staffing with adjacent sector teams including Digital Infrastructure and Healthcare.

Requirements

  • Strong academic results including an undergraduate bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Ideally 1-2 years' experience in investment banking including both marketing/origination and transaction execution with a focus on M&A
  • Excellent financial modelling experience including operating models, DCFs, merger modelling, and LBOs
  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and well-developed problem solving ability
  • Advanced Excel capability and experience producing high-quality PowerPoint materials
  • Collaborative working style and ability to build effective relationships across teams and regions
  • Ability to work under pressure and balance multiple transactions and workstreams simultaneously
  • Clear, confident communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

  • Provide critical analytical support in the team's origination efforts and transaction execution
  • Focus on M&A and Equity, Debt, and Private Capital Markets transactions for corporate and financial sponsor clients
  • Build and maintain financial models including operating models, DCFs, merger models, and LBOs
  • Produce high-quality PowerPoint materials for client presentations and internal discussions
  • Support deal execution across Power and Renewables, Transport Infrastructure, and Value-add sub-sectors
  • Collaborate with adjacent sector teams including Digital Infrastructure and Healthcare on cross-staffing opportunities
