About this role

We are seeking a Compliance Manager to join the Line 2 Asset Management Compliance Advisory Team, focusing on Private Credit activity. This role provides advisory and technical support on UK and EU regulatory requirements, enabling commercial activity while ensuring strong regulatory alignment.

You will act as a specialist adviser to the Asset Management business, providing Line 2 Compliance oversight to the in-house fund manager, particularly on AIFMD requirements. You will advise on regulatory matters and support the Senior Compliance Manager in operating effective governance and conduct risk management.

You will collaborate closely with First and Second Line Risk & Compliance teams to improve procedures and controls and deliver targeted training. You will maintain strong connections with Group Risk and Legal teams, supporting senior compliance leadership with strategic initiatives.

This role is well suited to an experienced Compliance professional looking to step up into a Manager position with increased autonomy and exposure. You will develop deep expertise in Private Credit Compliance and AIFMD within a supportive, well-established Compliance function.

Requirements

  • Experience as a compliance professional within asset management, ideally with exposure to private credit.
  • In-depth knowledge of AIFMD and MiFID regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to provide advisory and technical support on UK and EU regulatory matters.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures.
  • Strong collaboration skills with first and second line risk and compliance teams.
  • Ability to support senior compliance leadership with strategic initiatives.
  • Understanding of governance processes and conduct risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a compliance partner to Private Credit teams, providing advice and guidance across the full investment lifecycle.
  • Support the development and enhancement of compliance frameworks for Private Credit products and fund structures, including cross-border activity.
  • Advise on UK and European regulatory requirements impacting Private Credit activities, including AIFMD and MiFID considerations.
  • Identify, deliver, and support targeted compliance training for business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures in line with legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and advise on client-facing materials and Private Credit fund documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide Line 2 Compliance oversight and advisory support to the in-house fund manager, particularly on AIFMD requirements.
