About this role

This role is responsible for completing a variety of operational tasks across middle and back office functions that directly interface with Banking origination, portfolio teams and Treasury front office. The Assistant Analyst ensures that EBRD accurately and timely processes, settles and manages Banking/Treasury products in the global markets.

Day-to-day, the team processes disbursements and related transactional activity across a range of products. The individual will manage a portfolio of basic operations, interacting with multiple teams including Treasury, Risk, Office of General Counsel and broader Corporate Services. Where necessary, the role holder handles client communications on banking matters.

Supported and mentored by colleagues, the Assistant Analyst will also support project covenant reporting across the wider team's portfolio of deals, including sharing these documents with external parties participating in EBRD projects. The individual will adopt a continuous improvement mindset and support improving operational processes across the Operations & Service Management function.

This position offers exposure to a multilateral development bank's operational environment, with opportunities to learn from experienced team members and contribute to the effective execution of banking and treasury products. The role is based in London and is offered on a short-term contract basis.

Requirements

  • Ability to execute operational processes for banking and treasury products including loan disbursements and settlements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions and maintaining documentation
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external clients on banking matters
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting tasks related to project portfolios
  • Ability to adopt a continuous improvement mindset and contribute to process enhancements
  • Familiarity with risk and control frameworks in a financial operations environment
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting

Responsibilities

  • Execute operational processes across a range of activities in equivalent middle office support functions that facilitate adequate documenting, booking, funding and monitoring/reconciliation of the Bank's products
  • Deliver outstanding operational performance by adherence to established operational metrics – timeliness, quality and customer satisfaction
  • Respond to operational queries in a prompt and timely manner
  • Communicate with relevant departments on matters that may have significant implications for projects or related transactional activity
  • Support the wider team on a variety of tasks associated with the portfolio of projects relating to transactions, reporting and data management
  • Provide additional capacity across OSM to ensure expected service levels are maintained, including unanticipated deadlines defined by Banking clients
  • Lead changes to legal documentation post signing where relevant, and manage project covenant reporting across the wider portfolio of deals
