About this role

The Corporate Banking Senior Analyst in UK Industrials is an intermediate level professional providing bespoke capital structure expertise and corporate finance advice to clients. The Analyst works with Senior Bankers across UK in business origination and execution across Citi’s product set. Focus is on episodic and strategic financing transactions to drive revenue by cross-selling the Citi platform while managing risk.

Day-to-day involves relationship management of the UK Industrials portfolio, including Metals & Mining, Shipping and Aviation. Provide analytical support, risk assessment and monitoring of existing and new relationships. Develop client pitch materials tailored to needs and lead execution of episodic transactions and financings.

Work closely with Investment Bank and product partners including Capital Markets (DCM, ECM, Acquisition & Project Finance, Leveraged Finance), Markets (Commodities, Derivatives, FX), and Treasury & Trade Solutions. Exposure to multiple relationship teams and product specialists throughout Citi. Significant direct client engagement at CFO / Treasury level to build sector expertise.

Become an expert in the Corporate Banking space covering global corporates. Deliver market leading industry content and champion Corporate Finance initiatives. Develop in-depth understanding of client dynamics, priorities and internal relationships to identify marketing opportunities.

Requirements

  • Strong experience working in a corporate bank, financing or a capital markets / investment banking role
  • Corporate Finance mind-set with strong analytical capabilities
  • Expertise in UK Industrials sectors including Metals & Mining, Shipping and Aviation
  • Proficiency in risk assessment, credit analysis and financial modeling
  • Ability to prepare financial projections, sensitivity analysis and peer comparisons
  • Experience developing client presentations and pitch materials
  • Knowledge of capital markets products such as DCM, ECM and Leveraged Finance

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Senior Bankers to provide overall relationship management support for UK Industrials clients along with industry expertise
  • Serve as member of deal team for origination and execution of episodic and Corporate Finance transactions involving global clients
  • Stay abreast of market and industry trends, best practices and competitive landscape
  • Conduct risk assessment and credit analysis of existing relationships including review of financial results, peer analysis and financial projections
  • Develop client pitch materials tailored to meet client needs and lead execution of episodic transactions and financings
  • Assist with day-to-day cash management activities, trading initiatives, foreign exchange, loan activity, debt and equity capital markets
  • Evaluate public filings, research reports, operations, business plans and financial forecasts to produce strategic and financial analyses
