About this role
The Corporate Banking Senior Analyst focuses on Metals & Mining clients with exposure to Shipping & Aviation. This intermediate role provides bespoke capital structure expertise and corporate finance advice to clients. Work with Senior Bankers on origination and execution of episodic and strategic financing transactions across Citi’s product set.
Day-to-day involves developing client pitch materials tailored to needs, leading execution of financings, and fostering relationships. Provide analytical support, risk assessment, and monitoring of existing and new relationships in the Industrials portfolio. Assist with cash management, trading, FX, loan activity, and debt/equity capital markets.
Join a team with heavy focus on M&M industry and regional client set. Collaborate closely with relationship teams, product specialists, Investment Bank partners including Capital Markets, Markets, and Treasury & Trade Solutions. Engage directly with clients at CFO/Treasury level to be viewed as sector specialist.
Become an expert in M&M space, delivering market-leading industry content and championing Corporate Finance initiatives. Drive revenue by cross-selling Citi platform while deploying capital efficiently and managing risk. Stay abreast of market trends, best practices, and competitive landscape.
Requirements
- Strong focus and expertise in Metals & Mining industry
- Knowledge of corporate finance, lending, and capital structure solutions
- Proficiency in financial modeling, credit analysis, and risk assessment
- Understanding of Citi product set including DCM, ECM, Leveraged Finance, and Treasury & Trade Solutions
- Ability to analyze financial statements, peer comparisons, and industry trends
- Experience providing analytical support for Industrials portfolio
- Skills in preparing financial projections and sensitivity analysis
Responsibilities
- Partner with Senior Bankers to provide relationship management support and industry expertise for the sector
- Serve as member of deal team for origination and execution of episodic and Corporate Finance transactions
- Stay abreast of market and industry trends, best practices, and competitive landscape
- Conduct risk assessment and credit analysis of existing relationships including financial reviews and projections
- Develop client pitch materials tailored to meet client needs
- Lead execution of episodic transactions and financings
- Assist with cash management activities, trading initiatives, foreign exchange, loan activity, and capital markets
- Evaluate public filings, research reports, operations, and financial forecasts for strategic analyses
