This role requires a motivated individual with sell-side experience to be an integral part of investment banking teams, supporting mergers, acquisitions, and financial advisory. You will prepare company valuations, financial models, marketing documents, and presentations for high-profile transactions.
You will work within Baird's Global Investment Banking division, which provides M&A, debt advisory, and financing services to middle-market companies. The team environment is collaborative and focused on delivering outstanding results while contributing to clients' long-term success.
As a Baird Investment Banker, you will gain insights across various sectors while working on high-profile transactions. This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to client engagements and develop expertise in the Industrials and Consumer space.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of sell-side experience at a top-tier investment bank.
- A strong academic record and interest in Finance.
- A solid work ethic, teamwork skills, and self-direction.
- Excellent mathematical, writing, verbal, and computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Access knowledge preferred.
- Advanced math skills and strong language proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Be an integral part of investment banking teams, supporting mergers, acquisitions, and financial advisory.
- Prepare company valuations, financial models, marketing documents, and presentations.
- Review client investment statements and calculate monthly returns.
- Create customized Excel spreadsheets for portfolio management.
- Execute advanced word processing and spreadsheet tasks.
- Help with trade processing, including report generation and account reconciliation.
- Handle client communications, explaining policies as needed.
- Compose routine letters and compile client meeting information.
