The Senior Quantitative Finance Analyst - Market Risk Auditor role focuses on audit work in Market Risk and Global Markets areas.

Perform audit work including design and execute test programs, develop evidenced-based conclusions on business process controls effectiveness, validate issues, and manage stakeholder relationships. Assess control environment in market risk measurement and valuation processes within Global Markets Risk and Global Markets. Provide independent challenge to existing approaches as needed.

Join the global Corporate Audit Market Risk Audit team of subject matter experts in traded market risk and valuation. Work closely with team members across the globe and partners in Global Markets Audit, Model Risk Audit, and Technology Audit teams. Team members include former traders, market risk managers, front office quants, finance quants, and regulators.

Lead high-profile audits with senior management and regulatory focus, gaining exposure within Audit and across the firm. Maintain knowledge of business, industry, and regulatory trends. Collaborate with support development team to enhance testing using new technologies and artificial intelligence.

Requirements

  • Risk-based audit skillset with traded market risk and valuation subject matter expertise
  • Good knowledge of financial instruments and financial risk management principles
  • Exposure to Global Markets products, both derivatives and securities
  • Deep understanding of market risk measures
  • Experience performing audit work on design, execution of test programs, and evidenced-based conclusions
  • Ability to validate issues and manage stakeholder relationships
  • Quantitative background in trading, market risk management, front office, or finance

Responsibilities

  • Work flexibly as part of the global team on audit projects, providing subject matter expert support to other Corporate Audit teams
  • Perform thorough technical analyses and summarize results in concise report conclusions for senior management and regulators
  • Assess control environment effectiveness of market risk measurement and valuation processes in Global Markets Risk and Global Markets
  • Propose and execute test programs as part of day-to-day audit work
  • Develop and manage independent relationships with stakeholders across first and second lines
  • Maintain timely knowledge of business, industry, regulatory trends, best practices, and standards
  • Work closely with support development team to enhance and automate testing leveraging new technologies and artificial intelligence
