A career in our Financial Services Audit practice, within External Audit services, provides the opportunity to deliver a range of Assurance services and business advice to clients from small, fast-growing entities to large well-known brands with international reach. The team focuses on using the latest technology to reduce manual testing, allowing emphasis on valuable client service areas, corporate governance, and information reliability.
Help financial organisations navigate regulatory complexity while strengthening trust and transparency in their business. Clients cover banking and capital markets, private equity, insurance, and consumer finance. Work alongside senior members of the client’s management team to plan the audit process from beginning to end, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and fair presentation.
As a Senior Associate, gain in-depth knowledge into how businesses run, direct access to internal stakeholders and clients, and work with an unrivalled range of organisations audited. Use team and relationship management skills for documentation from planning to completion meeting PwC and regulatory standards. Build meaningful relationships with curiosity for insightful conversations and visible challenge during the audit.

Requirements
- Must possess a Chartered Accountant / ACA / ACCA / ICAS qualified accountant (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience including international candidates qualifying through experience in their home country
- Experience of IFRS and/or UK GAAP and international standards on auditing
- Strong organisational skills, experience of undertaking audit from planning to completion and a track record of challenging yourself and others to complete high quality testing and documentation
- Ability to establish and nurture relationships which includes communicating clearly with colleagues and organisations we audit
- Ability to review the work of others, providing commentary and feedback to support the team's technical development and enhance audit
Responsibilities
- Use team and relationship management skills to ensure audit team documentation from planning to completion meets PwC and regulatory standards
- Complete a variety of areas of audit work including identification of issues, analysis of data, articulation of findings and drawing informed conclusions
- Build meaningful relationships and demonstrate curiosity to have insightful conversations and provide visible challenge during the audit
- Delegate to others to provide learning opportunities and coaching to help deliver the most effective audit approach
- Build connections across teams and specialist areas within PwC, managing a variety of views and consulting where appropriate
- Develop new insights and propose innovative solutions to help enhance audit quality
- Put the team first by coaching with purpose, being present with the team and openly communicating expectations
