About this role

The Senior Engineering Audit Manager Markets supports regulated entity Heads of Audit in oversight of technology audits by LSEG Engineering Infrastructure Internal Audit. The role also delivers Technology and Integrated audits for regulated entities in the LSEG Markets division. It reports directly to the LCH Ltd Head of Internal Audit.

Manages audit delivery to ensure high-quality standards and reports that improve the risk and control environment. Leads audits in line with methodology while monitoring team progress as the main point of contact. Runs team meetings and resolves immediate issues promptly.

Develops understanding of key risks for the Markets Division to ensure the Audit Universe reflects business risks accurately. Completes supervisory reviews of audit files meeting all methodology expectations. Proactively identifies hurdles early to allow time for solutions.

Manages audit partners independently through regular meetings and maintains a no-surprise approach on progress and findings. Employment is contracted with LCH Ltd to reinforce independence from the wider group audit function.

Requirements

  • Expertise in technology audits for regulated financial entities
  • Strong understanding of internal audit methodology and file quality requirements
  • Ability to provide subject matter expertise on technology risks to Heads of Audit
  • Experience leading integrated audits within a Markets or financial division
  • Proficiency in managing audit partners and maintaining a no-surprise reporting approach

Responsibilities

  • Provide technology subject matter expertise on all Technology matters relating to audits of the regulated entities
  • Participate in the planning phase of LCH Ltd specific Technology audits to review scope and Terms of Reference
  • Assess results of audits and advise regulated entity Heads of Audit on key technology risks and findings
  • Lead technology CRAM activities with partners in the Markets Division CIO team
  • Participate in annual and ongoing audit risk assessment activities advising on key technology risks
  • Manage audit delivery ensuring audits are completed to a high-quality standard
  • Lead audits confidently in line with the audit methodology and run team meetings
  • Deliver allocated audits to time and budget while completing supervisory reviews of the audit file
