About this role

We are seeking an Analyst to join our Corporate Banking team in London. This role plays a key part in realising RBCCM objectives through structuring and delivering bank debt. It involves managing overall client relationships and coordinating cross-sell to targeted customers, supporting the build-out of Corporate Banking activities.

Support relationship managers to maintain and build RBCCM’s marketplace position, aiming to be clients’ first call for advice. Assist internal partners on optimal lending utilisation aligned with relationship goals. Produce marketing and pitching materials for bank debt and other products.

Prepare client business plans and monitor performance against Client Profitability, Economic Capital, and revenue targets. Handle preparation, submission, and presentation of Credit Memos to Risk Management and Commitments Committee. Liaise with clients, agents, and legal counsel on credit documentation negotiation and execution.

Introduce and integrate new clients, identifying multi-product opportunities and transforming transaction-driven clients. Develop relationships with key internal partners including FX, Derivatives, Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, and M&A teams. Monitor infrastructure and leveraged finance assets, involving Investment Grade and Leveraged borrowers.

Requirements

  • Strong presentation and client skills
  • Experience in client coverage and relationship management of multinational corporates
  • Strong analytical, technical, written, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of RBC Capital Markets product base and its application
  • Knowledge of structured financing and its application
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage multiple tasks for multiple people
  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight
  • Prior experience in Leveraged Finance and/or Infrastructure Finance environment

Responsibilities

  • Support relationship managers in maintaining and building RBCCM’s position in the marketplace

  • Prepare, submit, and present Credit Memos to Risk Management and Commitments Committee
  • Support negotiation, preparation, review, and execution of credit documentation with clients and counsel
  • Introduce and integrate new clients, identifying multi-product selling opportunities
  • Monitor infrastructure and leveraged finance assets to which RBC has provided financing
  • Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to business activities
