About this role

The Investment Banking Analyst participates in a rotational program at Natixis London Branch to gain hands-on experience across various banking teams. This includes between 4 and 8 six-month rotations in Coverage, Acquisition & Strategic Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Real Assets, and KYC. The program builds knowledge of different investment banking businesses.

Daily tasks involve assisting with marketing pitch preparation and research, as well as financial modelling and credit analysis for finance transactions. Analysts gather and analyse financial data, report variances, and initiate corrective actions. They maintain awareness of economic, financial data, and factors like fiscal changes affecting clients and products.

Liaison occurs with Risk, Structuring desks, Legal, Compliance, MO, and BO operations to support team efforts. Analysts assist as assigned to develop knowledge of clients and their needs. They adhere to risks for the bank and clients from transaction conclusions.

After completing at least 4 rotations (2 years), eligibility arises for permanent placement into one of the business units. Analysts maintain and develop product knowledge while completing mandatory training to ensure competence. This structure fosters deep expertise in investment banking.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in financial modelling
  • Skills in credit analysis for finance transactions
  • Ability to analyse financial data and report variances
  • Knowledge of investment banking areas including Coverage, Acquisition & Strategic Finance, Debt Capital Markets, and Real Assets
  • Understanding of KYC processes
  • Awareness of transaction risks to banks and clients
  • Familiarity with economic and financial factors impacting clients

Responsibilities

  • Assist with marketing pitch preparation and research

  • Gather and analyse financial data, reporting variances and initiating corrective actions

  • Adhere to and understand risks to the bank and the client from successful transaction conclusions
  • Maintain and develop product knowledge and complete mandatory training
