About this role
Scotiabank offers an outstanding opportunity for students to gain real, hands-on experience through our Corporate Banking Summer Internship programme. This 10-week programme from June to end of August 2026 targets penultimate year students eager to learn, curious about financial markets, and passionate about building client relationships. Interns rotate through several industry sectors within Corporate Banking.
Support Corporate Banking teams in the analysis of term sheets and due diligence materials. Prepare credit presentations and recommendations for review by senior management, risk management and Credit Committees. Assist with documentation, transaction execution, portfolio monitoring, annual reviews, compliance certificates and regulatory processes.
Conduct market, company and industry analysis using internal and external data sources. Research companies, assets and transactions to prepare meaningful analyses. Collaborate with relationship managers, product partners and risk teams on live client transactions and pitches in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Participate in formal training, weekly speaker series with Bank leaders, peer presentations, social networking events and a CSR project. Develop understanding of Scotiabank’s products, services, risk appetite and risk culture. Exceptional interns considered for the 2027 Corporate Banking Rotational Graduate Programme.

Responsibilities
- Support Corporate Banking teams in the analysis of term sheets and due diligence materials
- Prepare credit presentations and recommendations for review by senior management, risk management and Credit Committees
- Assist with documentation and transaction execution, including internal approval processes and closing procedures
- Assist with monitoring of assigned portfolio, conducting annual reviews, reviewing compliance certificates and participation in regulatory / KYC processes
- Conduct market, company and industry analysis using internal and external data sources
- Research companies, assets and transactions using public and private information sources
- Collaborate with relationship managers, product partners and risk teams on live client transactions and pitches
- Deliver a final presentation to leaders within Corporate Banking
