Put your energy, insight and analytical prowess to work at the heart of J.P.Morgan. Spend time in our Public Sector Group, managing senior relationships with public sector institutions across multiple businesses. Clients include central banks, sovereign wealth funds, public pension funds, governments and international institutions.
Start with orientation and training led by top professionals and expert instructors, gaining technical and practical knowledge for Global Corporate Banking. Assist GCB Public Sector bankers in managing client relationships and develop broad subject matter expertise across lines of business. Maintain internal reports, prepare memos and participate in financing request analysis.
Build relationships with clients' senior leadership, including strategic decision makers, investment and risk management. Coordinate with product and country teams to identify and execute transactions globally across capital markets, risk solutions and transaction banking. Network with industry leaders while accessing best-in-class training.
Team members and mentors help navigate the firm and learn about our businesses. Access senior management and a strong network of peers promotes ongoing professional development. Top performing summer analysts may receive a full-time offer to join the two-year Global Corporate Banking analyst program.
Requirements
- Familiarity with business fundamentals
- Passion for public sector institutions and high motivation to learn about and work with public sector clients
- Ability to quickly solve problems on your own and with a team
- Enthusiasm, energy and drive to succeed
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to partner and work on a team
- Confidence and initiative to take on early responsibility and manage your own projects
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Fluency in English
Responsibilities
- Assist GCB Public Sector bankers in managing internal aspects of existing client relationships
- Develop broad subject matter expertise across lines of business about relevant clients
- Conduct in-depth research on clients, prospects, drivers, products, competitors, economic outlooks, trends and challenges
- Maintain internal reports including revenue decks and analytical reports
- Prepare internal memos such as senior management briefings and decision committee memoranda
- Participate in analysis and negotiation of financing requests with credit, product, legal and compliance teams
- Coordinate with product and country teams to execute transactions for clients across capital markets, risk solutions and transaction banking
- Network with industry leaders and access best-in-class training
