Join Octopus Ventures B2B software team in their next phase of growth. Focused on origination of new deal opportunities and assisting with execution of pre-series A to Series B investments. Support boards of portfolio companies as an observer assisting management with growth ambitions.
Build and maintain a deal origination network in adviser, VC, B2B software and AI sectors. Assist collaboratively in all aspects of deal execution including evaluation, financial analysis, structuring and due diligence. Help prepare investment papers and present to Investment Committee.
Octopus Ventures manages over £1.5bn AUM with a portfolio exceeding 100 companies. B2B software team provides Pre Series A to Series B funding to rapidly growing software and AI firms like Lodgify, Definely and Vaultspeed. Plan to execute over ten new investments annually, typically £3m to £10m each.
Gain direct access to boards of growing B2B tech companies through observer seats. Undertake ad-hoc analysis, portfolio monitoring, fundraising and team initiatives. Part of an exciting long-term growth plan following strong performance and fresh capital raise.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in investing role (VC, growth capital, venture debt or private equity)
- Transaction experience (banking or corporate finance)
- Experience in financial analysis/modelling and commercial skills for assessing investment opportunities
- Ability to evaluate and filter deal opportunities in B2B software and AI sectors
Responsibilities
