About this role
This VP-level role as a GEM CEEMEA Flow Rates Trader involves executing trades and providing advisory market content in emerging markets across Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The trader adheres to all internal policies and external regulatory frameworks while maintaining strong broker relationships.
Day-to-day responsibilities include managing product flows, pricing, and risk management to optimise trading portfolios. The trader provides liquidity to a client base ranging from financial institutions to corporates and is responsible for trade execution, capture, and profit and loss signoff.
The trader works closely with sales to grow the franchise across corporate and financial institution clients. They also liaise with internal control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Credit, and Business Management to manage trades through their lifecycle.

Requirements
- Previous experience in Flow Rates trading and market making business
- Strong quantitative skills, preferably in econometrics, with deep product knowledge
- Deep knowledge of CEEMEA Local Markets including onshore and offshore dynamics
- Deep understanding of debt capital/bond/credit markets and ability to price instruments including government bonds, interest swaps, cross-currency swaps, and forward rate agreements
- Very strong money management skills with a liquidity provider/market maker profile
- Understanding of regulations across various countries (desirable)
- Proficiency in managing risk in trading books including interest rate risk, Libor, and cross-currency basis risk
Responsibilities
- Manage product flows, pricing, and risk management/portfolio optimisation
- Provide liquidity to Deutsche Bank clients ranging from financial institutions to corporates
- Execute trades, capture trade details, and sign off on profit and loss for trading books
- Monitor rate volatility markets, identify opportunities between different markets, and develop hedging strategies
- Engage with sales to grow the franchise across corporate and financial institution clients
- Liaise with internal control functions (Legal, Compliance, Credit, Business Management) to manage trades through their lifecycle
- Record transactions and prepare related statistical reports as needed
