Corporate Banking Associate/Senior Associate - TMT

The Corporate Banking Associate in UK TMT is an intermediate level professional providing bespoke capital structure expertise and corporate finance advice to clients. The Associate works with the Global Head of Telecommunications Corporate Banking and Senior Bankers across EMEA in business origination and execution. The objective is to drive revenue by cross-selling the Citi platform while efficiently deploying capital and managing risk.

Day-to-day responsibilities include relationship management of the UK TMT portfolio and providing analytical support, risk assessment, and monitoring of relationships. Develops client pitch materials tailored to meet client needs and leads execution of episodic transactions and financings. Assists with cash management activities, trading initiatives, foreign exchange, loan activity, and capital markets.

Works closely with Investment Bank and product partners including Capital Markets (DCM, ECM, Acquisition & Project Finance, Leveraged Finance), Markets (Derivatives, FX, Equity Solutions), and Treasury & Trade Solutions (Trade Finance, Cash Management). Exposure to multiple relationship teams throughout Citi with significant direct client engagement. Viewed by clients as a specialist in the sector.

Develops in-depth understanding of TMT business dynamics and clients’ priorities to identify marketing opportunities. Builds strong relationships internally with key product, risk, and regional partners. Becomes an expert in the TMT space with focus on global client set and market-leading industry content.
