About this role

This is a senior, client-facing role focused on pre-deal technology due diligence and value creation for private equity investors. You will lead the delivery of complex buy-side and sell-side engagements, working directly with Investment Directors, Operating Partners, CIOs and management teams. Expect to operate with autonomy, commercial judgement and leadership.

Lead assessments of platform scalability, technical debt, product architecture, cloud maturity, cyber resilience, data strategy and IT operating model effectiveness. Identify risks to investment thesis, quantify remediation costs and assess separation complexity in carve-outs. Translate technical findings into commercially relevant insights and present directly to PE deal teams.

Drive value creation by developing 100-day technology plans and identifying EBITDA-enhancing initiatives across automation, systems rationalisation, data monetisation and digital enablement. Design scalable operating models for buy-and-build strategies and support integration planning. Build the practice through origination, relationship deepening and mentoring high-performing managers.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in technology consulting, IT advisory or technology due diligence
  • Direct experience supporting private equity transactions
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, ERP/CRM landscapes and cyber risk
  • Experience assessing scalability, technical debt and operating model maturity
  • Proven ability to lead teams and engage confidently with senior stakeholders
  • Led buy-side Tech DD engagements end-to-end
  • Supported carve-outs or complex separations
  • Understand how technology drives EBITDA and exit value
