Ebury

London, GB · Full-time · £90,000 – £120,000

About this role

Ebury helps ambitious businesses unlock global growth, and we take the same approach with our people. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Financial Crime Intelligence Product domain, owning Transaction Monitoring across fiat, crypto, card and hybrid payment flows as a domain lead.

You will own the Transaction Monitoring product area, working at the intersection of First Line, Compliance, Engineering and Data. Your focus will be on building scalable, regulator-ready controls while enabling growth across traditional and digital asset payment rails considering different product and business vertical compliance frameworks.

This role reports to the Head of Financial Crime Intelligence Product and is based in our London office with a hybrid schedule of 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home per week. You will partner with first line and second line operational and compliance teams to ensure controls are effective, explainable, and audit-ready.

As we expand our capabilities across new verticals like embedded payments, new products like cards, and new payment rails like stablecoins, Anti Money Laundering controls are becoming a more critical part of our product strategy. This is an opportunity to shape the future of financial crime prevention in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in fintech, crypto, payments, or regulated financial services.
  • 4+ years’ experience as a Product Manager.
  • 2+ years working on AML / Transaction Monitoring products.
  • Hands-on exposure to crypto transaction monitoring, in particular Stablecoins, or VASP compliance.
  • Experience with blockchain analytics tools (e.g. Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic or similar).
  • Experience with travel rule tools.
  • Ability to understand how predictive models behave in production (not expected to build ML models).

Responsibilities

  • Balance growth vs risk trade-offs across Transaction Monitoring products.
  • Use data and research to identify pain points, investigate anomalies, and deliver optimisations.
  • Define the strategy for your area, ensuring alignment with overall Financial Crime Intelligence Product domain goals and company direction.
  • Translate strategy into a clear, actionable roadmap across fiat-to-fiat, fiat-to-crypto, crypto-to-crypto, and card spend transactions.
  • Define and evolve Transaction Monitoring rules, scenarios, risk typologies and predictive AI models aligned with different compliance frameworks, including Crypto Travel Rule requirements.
  • Drive improvements in false positive reduction, alert quality, and operational scalability.
  • Partner with Data Science teams on predictive AI models for transactions, including model inputs, outputs, and thresholds.
  • Translate regulatory and AML requirements into clear product requirements and work closely with Engineering on vendor integrations, event schemas, and transaction data models.

Benefits

  • Hybrid working: 4 days in the London office, 1 day working from home per week.
  • Opportunity to shape the future of financial crime prevention in a fast-growing fintech.
  • Work at the intersection of First Line, Compliance, Engineering and Data.
  • Be part of a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, movement, and problem-solving.
