About this role
Ebury is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead fraud prevention strategy at our London Canary Wharf office. In this critical role, you will protect customers and assets by developing best-in-class fraud controls across our diverse financial products and jurisdictions.
You will own fraud controls spanning transactional fraud, document fraud, and behavioral anomalies, detecting abnormal user behavior across onboarding, authentication, and payment journeys. This involves designing real-time and pre-authorization controls to prevent losses before execution, and translating regulatory requirements into clear product specifications.
Working closely with Operations, Compliance, Engineering, Data Science, and Security teams, you will partner on predictive AI models and combat account compromise and abuse patterns. You will report to the Head of Financial Crime Intelligence Product in a hybrid model requiring 4 days per week in the London office.
This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact at a company helping ambitious businesses unlock global growth. You will drive innovation at the forefront of fraud prevention across fiat, crypto (mainly stablecoins), and card payment rails.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading fraud prevention product strategy in financial services or fintech
- Deep understanding of transactional fraud, document fraud, and behavioral anomaly detection techniques
- Ability to translate regulatory and risk requirements into clear product requirements
- Experience working with predictive AI/ML models in production environments (model inputs, outputs, and thresholds)
- Strong stakeholder management skills across Operations, Compliance, Engineering, and Security teams
- Knowledge of payment rails including fiat, crypto (stablecoins), and card payments
- Demonstrated ability to balance growth objectives with risk mitigation and fraud control effectiveness
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research into emerging fraud trends, attacker methodologies, and B2B/B2B fraud prevention best practices
- Pinpoint vulnerabilities and design products that balance growth vs. risk trade-offs to improve security across Ebury
- Own fraud controls across transactional fraud, document fraud, and behavioral anomalies
- Detect abnormal user behavior across onboarding, authentication, and payment journeys
- Translate control gaps into a clear, actionable roadmap covering fiat, crypto, and card transactions
- Partner with Data Science teams on predictive AI models for customer journeys and transactions
- Collaborate with Security teams on account compromise, abuse patterns, and attacker tooling and signals
- Design real-time and pre-authorisation fraud controls and define step-up, blocking, and friction strategies based on risk signals
Benefits
- Hybrid work model: 4 days in the London Canary Wharf office, 1 day working from home
- Opportunity to work at the forefront of fraud prevention across cutting-edge payment verticals
- Be part of a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, movement, and problem-solving
- Empowered to make significant impact on the company's security posture and shape the future of global business operations
