Join William Blair's Global Healthcare Group as an Investment Banking Analyst in the London office. Support the team across sub-sectors including Healthcare IT, Healthcare Services, Pharma Services, Life Sciences & Diagnostics, and MedTech. Execute in-depth analyses for new business development, transaction execution, and delivery of investment banking products and services to clients.

Work closely with clients to advance projects, gather diligence information, build financial models, and craft materials essential for transaction success. Lead preparation of financial analyses and presentations for evaluating opportunities. Prepare pitch books, confidential investor presentations, and management presentations.

Execute valuation methodologies like discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, precedent transactions, and comparable company analyses. Drive process workstreams by coordinating with team members and serving as client point of contact. Work alongside Senior Bankers on new business opportunities and business development efforts.

Mentor summer interns and teach subsequent analyst classes, acting as a William Blair ambassador. Thrive in an independent partnership firm delivering trusted advice across North America, Europe, and Asia. Empower colleagues to bring unique perspectives for tailored client solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Previous experience at the Analyst level is essential
  • Client first attitude with a drive to deliver exceptional results
  • Thorough quantitative and analytical skills to develop financial models and valuations analyses, with strong understanding of accounting and finance
  • Excellent mathematical, writing, verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously including projects, pitches and business development support
  • Ability to collaborate with other team members whilst also working autonomously as required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support preparation of financial analyses and presentations for evaluating potential opportunities and transactions
  • Prepare pitch books and live deal materials, including confidential investor presentations and management presentations
  • Execute valuation methodologies such as discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, precedent transactions, and comparable company analyses
  • Drive process workstreams forward by coordinating and communicating with team members and serving as point of contact for clients
  • Work alongside Senior Bankers to assist with new business opportunities and broader business development efforts
  • Mentor summer interns and invest in teaching subsequent classes of analysts, serving as a William Blair ambassador
