London-based Financial Sponsors Group leads coverage and execution for private equity clients in the UK and Europe. Interns join deal teams as junior analysts on strategic advisory, M&A and financing transactions. They gain meaningful exposure to senior bankers and client representatives.

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interest for problem solving and client service
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and MS Word
  • Genuine interest in finance, resourcefulness, intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm
  • Understanding of financial valuation is a plus
  • Significant level of maturity and ability to work under pressure to meet client deadlines
  • Highly organized and proactive with initiative to multitask and work with limited supervision
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform company and industry research to understand sector trends, client challenges and strategies
  • Prepare and participate in client presentations and transaction execution
  • Support deal teams in building, maintaining and using financial models
  • Perform financial and valuation analysis including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout and multiples valuation
  • Develop understanding of Investment Banking products: Debt, Equity, Mergers and Acquisitions and Restructuring
  • Interact with senior bankers, clients, lawyers and accountants
