About this role

The role provides actuarial pricing and portfolio management support to the Chubb Overseas General (COG) Commercial Insurance (CI) Underwriting Team. The role-holder serves as the actuarial lead for all CI and DCI (digital commercial insurance) actuaries. They play a pivotal role in shaping this rapidly growing business area.

The role-holder leads with knowledge of multi-line commercial digital and non-digital insurance. They contribute to the direction of the pricing team and manage delivery of pricing projects. A strong leader is essential for informing business transformation.

Liaise closely with pricing teams in each geographic region, global catastrophe modelling unit, ceded reinsurance team, claims function, reserving, and capital modelling teams. The role reports to the Head of Pricing for COG (Property and Casualty). It has a matrix reporting line to the Head of CI & Specialty, COG.

Design and promote best practice frameworks for portfolio monitoring and profitability studies. Review regional capabilities, outcomes, and development roadmaps, providing feedback on gaps. Collaborate with COG management to drive improvements.

Requirements

  • Qualified actuary
  • Significant experience in actuarial pricing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of multi-line digital insurance products and markets
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver complex pricing projects
  • Experience of working in a global or multi-regional environment highly desirable
