About this role

This role offers the opportunity to provide Investment Banking services including M&A, ECM, DCM and leverage finance to corporate and private equity clients within the Mining sector. You will assist in the marketing and execution of these transactions while working in close co-operation with local and global teams.

Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in execution of mandated deals, preparation of marketing pitchbooks, gathering public information, creating financial model analyses, and analysing company performance on absolute and relative bases. You will also draft marketing documents, produce databases, and conduct general research for the Mining sector coverage.

Requirements

Demonstrate experience within an Investment Banking Sector Coverage Team or Transaction Advisory Consultancy Team (Mining sector or transaction experience preferred)
Understanding of the sector, the key players, strategic dynamics as well as the current issues facing the sector
Sound judgment and comprehensive understanding of the valuation approaches typically used in the sector

Responsibilities

Assist in the marketing and execution of M&A, equity financing and debt financing transactions
Work in close co-operation with other local and global teams in coverage of the Mining sector
Assist in the development of relationships with corporates and private equity clients
Assist in execution of mandated deals
Assist in preparation of marketing pitchbooks and related materials
Gather public information through numerous sources
Create financial model analyses
Analyse company performance on an absolute and relative basis
