About this role

This role oversees assigned areas of audit work acting as an Auditor-in-Charge (AIC) and executes the audit strategy for Lines of Business (LOBs) primarily in Global Markets FICC. LOBs include Rates, FX, Credit, Mortgages, Munis, and Commodities. BAC trades cash securities, futures, and derivatives in a market making capacity.

Leverage detailed working knowledge of market making or debt origination linked to GM products from trading, risk management, or Global Markets product controller roles. Drive risk-based auditing by defining scope and test procedures to evaluate the control environment. Assess issues for business impact, recommend severity ratings, draft audit reports, and manage business partner relationships.

Requirements

  • Detailed working knowledge of market making or debt origination and lending linked to GM products
  • Transferrable skills from Sales and Trading desks, risk management function, Global Markets product controller, or GM Finance role
  • Familiarity with FICC market regulations, exchanges/execution venues, clearing and settlement processes
  • Experience in a first- or second-line function associated with Sales and Trading desks
  • Ability to define scope and test procedures for risk-based auditing
  • Knowledge of trading cash securities, futures, and derivatives in market making capacity

Responsibilities

  • Executes audit strategy for the sound application of risk-based auditing by defining audit scope and audit programs
  • Drafts audit reports leveraging automation and innovative methods in a timely and high-quality manner
  • Acts as Auditor-in-Charge (AIC) by overseeing audit testing and ensuring conformance with quality standards, audit policies, and procedures
  • Assesses impacts to business processes, controls, and strategies to provide recommendations on severity ratings
  • Evaluates the control environment in Global Markets FICC lines of business including Rates, FX, Credit, Mortgages, Munis, and Commodities
  • Manages business partner relationships
