Citi's Investment Banking business provides advisory and capital raising services to leading corporations and financial sponsors worldwide, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, financial restructurings, and underwriting of equity and debt. As a global leader, we offer innovative solutions driven by a global network of bankers with in-depth industry knowledge and execution expertise. Investment bankers are organised into industry, product and regional groups.

The Communications and Media team leads across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, spanning telecommunications, digital infrastructure like data centres and towers, and media from advertising to gaming. The Investment Banking Analyst assists clients in M&A advisory and capital markets transactions across debt and equity. This role plays a crucial part in deal execution and marketing efforts.

Work closely with senior investment banking colleagues in a non-hierarchical team structure, liaising with clients, Citi partners and external advisors. Build sophisticated operating, financial and valuation models to support client decision-making. Develop in-depth strategic analyses for pitch materials and live deals.

Manage process across the deal lifecycle and extensive client interaction in execution environments. Conduct detailed economic, company and market research. This position offers exposure to high-profile transactions in a dynamic global environment.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in investment banking or a related area
  • Sector experience preferred, but not a prerequisite
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
  • Strong analytical skills for strategic and market research

Responsibilities

  • Play a substantial role in transactions, working closely with senior investment banking colleagues in a non-hierarchical team structure
