PJT Partners is a global advisory-focused investment bank delivering strategic advisory, shareholder advisory, restructuring, special situations, and private fund advisory services. The Strategic Capital Markets Advisory team advises financial sponsors and corporates on financing alternatives across the capital structure. Associates work within the Advisory Group while collaborating with Restructuring teams.

Day-to-day tasks include analysing capital structures, cashflow models, credit documents, and indentures. Facilitate due diligence and discussions with companies, legal counsel, and advisors. Conduct ratings analyses and interact directly with clients, banks, and funds on capital raising.

The London-based team collaborates frequently with New York offices on high-profile transactions like Aggreko, ASDA, ASOS, and Porsche SE. Focus spans industries including technology, energy, healthcare, and consumer retail. The group sits at the fulcrum of PJT’s M&A and Restructuring franchises.

Roles offer unparalleled exposure to clients, senior bankers, and exceptional deal-flow. Advise on syndicated financings, private credit, liability management, and structured deals. Manage analysts on transactions and business development projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a top-ranked university
  • Prior experience in investment banking advisory
  • Strong analytical skills in capital structures and financial modeling
  • Familiarity with credit documents, indentures, and ratings analyses
  • Knowledge of capital markets transactions including acquisition financings and liability management
  • Ability to work with financial sponsors and corporates across industries

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, structure, recommend, and execute financing alternatives across the capital structure for financial sponsor and corporate clients
  • Advise on syndicated acquisition financings, refinancings, private credit lending, par and stressed refinancings, liability management, growth capital, and structured financings
  • Analyse capital structures, cashflow models, credit documents, and indentures
  • Facilitate due diligence and discussions with companies, legal counsel, and advisors
  • Conduct ratings analyses
  • Interact directly with clients, banks, and funds on capital raising transactions
  • Manage analysts staffed on transactions and business development projects
