Coordinate thorough assessments of new Embedded Banking Partners' financial crime controls, emphasizing outsourced processes.

Understand partners' Operating Models, including systems, processes, and sub-contractors. Monitor existing partners' controls, assess risks using ClearBank’s taxonomy and data. Ensure compliance with the Oversight model and lead governance sessions.

Requirements

  • Significant expertise in risk and control frameworks and compliance with regulatory standards in financial crime, especially outsourcing
  • Audit, assurance or consultancy background with experience in oversight and review of financial crime control frameworks
  • Strong understanding of sectors such as money remittance, electronic money, APIs, Cryptocurrency firms, and merchant acquirers
  • Experience dealing with complex and varied Embedded Banking Partners
  • Knowledge of financial crime risks in operating models, systems, processes, and sub-contractors
  • Ability to assess risks using taxonomies and relevant data

Responsibilities

  • Oversee compliance with all internal policies, standards, industry guidance and regulation
  • Lead completion of Financial Crime Systems and Controls Assessments for new Embedded Banking relationships
  • Monitor and oversee existing Embedded Banking Partners from a financial crime perspective
  • Ensure all oversight activities are completed in accordance with the Oversight Model
  • Continuously assess and update financial crime aspects of Embedded Banking Partners' Risk and Control registries
  • Define and report internal and external Key Risk Indicators for data-driven performance monitoring
  • Chair Embedded Banking Partner financial crime governance sessions
  • Maintain Embedded Banking Partner Management Procedures covering Onboarding and Oversight from a financial crime perspective
