About this role

As aAs a Pool Analyst within the Mid-Cap Global Corporate Banking team, you will work with Mid-Cap Bankers and Product Partners including Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Investment Banking (IB) Industry Coverage, Credit and Treasury Services. This group focuses on mid-cap companies requiring traditional banking services plus investment banking products. You will help gain, manage and maintain client relationships across Europe.

Conduct industry and company research, perform credit analysis, and partner with product and industry specialists on transaction origination and execution. Manage internal and external client relationship aspects alongside senior Bankers. Handle general country-level reporting requirements.

Support deal teams and country leadership with pitch book preparation and transaction execution. Ensure seamless coordination among deal team members, product partners and internal stakeholders. Work primarily with DCM, ECM and M&A teams on pitches and deals.

Collaborate closely with senior Bankers, credit underwriting teams and IB partners in a fast-paced environment. Develop understanding of J.P. Morgan's full product offerings including M&A, debt/equity capital markets and treasury services. Ideal for candidates with prior corporate or investment banking experience.

Requirements

  • United Kingdom 2:1 Bachelor’s degree or similar with outstanding academic credentials
  • Fluency in English and at least one Nordic language
  • Strong corporate finance, credit, analytical and modelling skills
  • Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Highly motivated, productive team player with essential partnership and communication skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Commercial mind-set and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, collaborative environment

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside Senior Bankers and Product Partners, particularly DCM, ECM and M&A teams, to execute transactions from pitch through close
  • Prepare marketing materials for client meetings covering financing alternatives, working capital optimization, industry and peer analysis
  • Support Senior Bankers to generate new revenue opportunities from prospects and existing clients
  • Collaborate with credit underwriting teams on analysis, structuring and documentation of credit requests
  • Build and use financial models to support financing and Investment Banking transactions
  • Coordinate and support product and industry coverage partners to produce and distribute client deliverables
  • Develop understanding of J.P. Morgan products including M&A, debt/equity capital markets, hedging and treasury services
  • Assist with country-level reporting requirements and data management
