About this role
The Analyst supports more senior officers in developing Corporate Banking business with prospect companies and maintaining relationships with existing accounts. Provides high quality account administration and reporting. Assists in obtaining new business through analysis and structuring of transactions.
Works independently to some degree with guidance from experienced officers available ongoing. Some degree of client contact necessary. Assists team with term sheets analysis, due diligence, credit presentations, documentation negotiation, and transaction closing.
Monitors assigned portfolio including annual reviews, compliance certificates, and KYC processes. Researches companies, assets, and transactions using public and private sources. Works closely with deal teams on live transactions and provides timely client support.
Participates in marketing efforts with Directors/MDs including pitch distribution. Understands Bank's risk appetite and culture in daily activities. Gains exposure to global business areas and product teams, with potential Toronto training.
Requirements
- Relevant Analyst experience (ideally 2nd year Analyst with Funds/Insurance experience)
- Passion for Banking and Finance
- Demonstrated interest and knowledge in the financial markets
- Proven record of outstanding achievement in academic and extracurricular activities
- Strong independent thinking and decision making skills
- Superior interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to meet challenges of stressful, constantly changing work environment
Responsibilities

- Prepare client presentations and daily market commentary
- Keep abreast of market information, economic releases, and trends
