As Compliance Officer, you ensure Stream meets FCA requirements, client expectations, investor standards, and user needs. You understand the Consumer Credit Act, Consumer Duty, and other regulations. This role offers involvement in activities supporting regulatory compliance.

You report to the Director of Compliance and MLRO in a collaborative team providing Second Line support. The team assists business areas to achieve ambitious goals. You join over 200 passionate people across Europe and the USA building a category-leading fintech.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in a consumer lending environment, with credit cards or unsecured personal loans
  • Inquisitive and truth seeking attitude with an inclination to challenge the status quo
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate
  • Good understanding of the requirements of the Consumer Credit Act, the Consumer Duty, and other regulatory requirements
  • Experience providing Second Line compliance support
  • Knowledge of FCA expectations and regulatory developments

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Compliance to develop and maintain the company compliance framework, policies, and procedures in line with industry best practice and regulatory requirements
  • Review and provide feedback on financial promotions
  • Provide compliance guidance, including on the requirements of the Consumer Credit Act, CONC, and Consumer Duty
  • Complete monitoring reviews and risk assessments of First Line activities, feedback findings, track actions to closure
  • Devise training for staff on compliance topics and monitor understanding
  • Assist in the compilation of relevant management information and identify trends
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments and industry best practice, communicate to business areas
  • Review new relationships, initiatives, and products for regulatory impact
