About this role
Monzo is seeking an Enterprise Risk Analyst to support strategic risk oversight and risk frameworks within its new global group structure. The role sits within Group Risk and reports to the Head of Enterprise Risk, placing the analyst at the centre of how Monzo identifies and manages strategic risks.
Day-to-day work centres on building strategic risk oversight dashboards that combine internal business data with external macroeconomic signals. The analyst will interpret developments such as interest rates, inflation and geopolitical events, then translate findings into clear reports for the Group Chief Risk Officer.
Close collaboration across Monzo ensures risk insights reach senior stakeholders on time and in usable form for governance meetings. The position also involves strengthening Group Risk processes by refining frameworks, delivering training and running cross-risk projects that improve readability and accessibility.
The work directly enables Monzo to maintain effective risk management for customers while the business continues to expand its product range and international footprint.
Requirements
- Confident working with data in Google Sheets and using data formulas to generate analysis.
- Able to turn analysis into clear, practical insight for senior stakeholders.
- Capable of designing and rolling out clear, accessible risk management processes for the whole business.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic risk oversight dashboards from scratch using internal business data and external macroeconomic sources.
- Interpret macroeconomic and external developments and assess their impact on Monzo’s strategic risks.
- Produce monthly strategic risk oversight reports for the Group Chief Risk Officer.
- Own data quality in strategic risk reporting and ensure information is accurate and informative.
- Support the implementation and ongoing operation of Monzo’s strategic risk oversight and framework processes.
- Improve risk frameworks to make them more readable and accessible across the business.
- Deliver training and run cross-risk projects that strengthen Group Risk ways of working.
