Ebury

London, GB · Full-time · £90,000 – £110,000

About this role

Ebury helps ambitious businesses unlock global growth, and as the company expands into new verticals like embedded payments and stablecoins, Anti Money Laundering controls are becoming critical. We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Financial Crime Intelligence Product domain, owning Transaction Monitoring across fiat, crypto, card, and hybrid payment flows as a domain lead.

You will own the Transaction Monitoring product area, working at the intersection of First Line, Compliance, Engineering, and Data. Your focus is building scalable, regulator-ready controls while enabling growth across traditional and digital asset payment rails. You will balance growth versus risk trade-offs using data and research to identify pain points and deliver optimizations.

This role reports to the Head of Financial Crime Intelligence Product and involves close partnership with first and second line operational and compliance teams. You will also collaborate with Data Science teams on predictive AI models for transactions, understanding model inputs, outputs, and thresholds without needing to build them yourself. You will support regulatory reviews and audits with strong product narratives.

Ebury encourages innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving in an environment where everyone can feel valued and empowered. As a domain lead, you will define the strategy for Transaction Monitoring, translating regulatory and AML requirements into clear product requirements. You will work closely with Engineering on vendor integrations, event schemas, and transaction data models to ensure system performance and scalability.

  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager.
  • 2+ years working on AML / Transaction Monitoring products.
  • Hands-on exposure to crypto transaction monitoring, particularly Stablecoins, or VASP compliance.
  • Experience with blockchain analytics tools such as Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic, or similar.
  • Understanding of how predictive models behave in production (no requirement to build them).

Responsibilities

  • Own the Transaction Monitoring product area across fiat, crypto, card, and hybrid payment flows as a domain lead.
  • Balance growth versus risk trade-offs using data and research to identify pain points and deliver optimizations.
  • Define the strategy for your area and translate it into a clear, actionable roadmap across multiple payment rails.
  • Define and evolve Transaction Monitoring rules, scenarios, risk typologies, and predictive AI models aligned with compliance frameworks, including Crypto Travel Rule requirements.
  • Drive improvements in false positive reduction, alert quality, and operational scalability.
  • Partner with first line and second line operational and compliance teams to ensure controls are effective, explainable, and audit-ready.
  • Partner with Data Science teams on predictive AI models for transactions, focusing on model inputs, outputs, and thresholds.

Benefits

  • Hybrid working model: 4 days in the London office, 1 day working from home per week.
  • A collaborative and innovative environment where you are valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
  • Opportunity to shape the future of global business operations and accelerate your career.
  • Work at the intersection of First Line, Compliance, Engineering, and Data on cutting-edge financial crime controls.
