As a Managing Consultant within the Regulatory Practice of Financial Services, you will lead and manage a team to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of client requirements and RSM's standards.
You will support Directors in key business development activities including writing proposals, presentations, and thought leadership. You will also line manage a team of staff, helping to develop and grow individuals in their careers with RSM.

Requirements
- Deep understanding of the financial services regulatory landscape, including FCA and PRA requirements.
- Proven experience in regulatory risk consulting or advisory within a professional services environment.
- Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to lead and develop client portfolios.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team of consultants, including performance feedback and career growth.
- Experience in preparing strategy documentation and costed service delivery proposals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver data-driven insights and solutions.
- Ability to manage complex scheduling and resource planning to optimise profitability.
Responsibilities
- Manage a Financial Services team in conjunction with Associate Directors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of high-quality advisory service at clients’ sites when required.
- Lead and manage an agreed client portfolio for the service line and regional area.
- Support the Associate Director with preparations of strategy documentation for each client, including a fully costed service delivery proposal.
- Control and manage the delivery of the client programme to time and budget, providing solutions on any issues as appropriate.
- Ensure effective planning and utilisation of team members in line with the approved budget, including mapping complex scheduling to optimise profitability.
- Monitor the effectiveness and quality of work through undertaking effective manager review of the work.
- Deal with day-to-day team matters, including feedback on performance, appraisals, recruitment, team welfare, and health & safety.
