About this role

State Street Global Markets seeks a Senior KYC Analyst, Assistant Vice President for its EMEA Client On-boarding team. This role performs KYC Periodic Reviews on SSGM customers and drives ongoing improvements in the AML operating model. It partners with the SSGM front office and Global SSGM COO to support business growth and create efficiencies.

Day-to-day involves ensuring SSGM businesses in EMEA comply with State Street Corporate AML Policy and requirements. Provide oversight of activities outsourced to FLOD Operations, Compliance, and FIU, acting as the business escalation point. Complete KYC for all SSGM clients at periodic review in EMEA and Germany timely.

Requirements

  • Work independently on general assignments within established procedures and guidelines
  • Knowledge of State Street Corporate AML Policy and AML Requirements
  • Experience performing KYC Periodic Reviews for financial clients
  • Familiarity with EMEA regulatory compliance in AML/KYC
  • Ability to oversee outsourced AML operations and act as escalation point
  • Proficiency in handling sanctions screening, UARs and SARs
  • Understanding of transaction monitoring and periodic review processes

Responsibilities

  • Ensure SSGM businesses in EMEA comply with State Street Corporate AML Policy, Procedure and AML Requirements
  • Provide oversight of activities outsourced to FLOD Operations team, Compliance and FIU
  • Ensure KYC completed for all SSGM clients at periodic review for EMEA and Germany in a timely manner
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients via telephone and email
  • Act as escalation point for sanctions, negative news or policy breaches and complete UARs
  • Participate in transaction monitoring weekly review meetings
  • Actively chase and assist with completion of overdue reviews and escalate where necessary
  • Provide ongoing counsel to EMEA Regional Head regarding AML risk
