The Portfolio Manager plays a critical role in protecting investor capital and supporting sustainable returns. Responsibilities center on high-quality financial analysis, portfolio monitoring, and proactive risk management. The role works closely with Origination, Credit, Legal, Relationship Directors and Operations teams.

The Corporate team within Private Credit manages pools of capital, focusing on lending to large, well-established corporates and household names. It specialises in tailored financing solutions for strategic growth, refinancing, and acquisition activity. The team delivers flexible and reliable funding partnerships across sectors.

Requirements

  • Strong credit and financial analysis capability, including confident interpretation of company accounts and development of robust cashflow models
  • Demonstrated ability to apply judgement beyond the numbers, balancing risk, structure and commercial context
  • High attention to detail, with full ownership of data quality, reporting accuracy and portfolio 'no surprises'
  • Ability to manage a complex workload with competing priorities while maintaining pace, accuracy and quality
  • Proven experience in portfolio monitoring and risk management within private credit or corporate lending environments

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day management of an assigned portfolio, including financial analysis, cashflow modelling, covenant testing and proactive risk identification
  • Exercise sound credit judgement, identifying emerging risks, covenant breaches or downside scenarios and recommending appropriate mitigants to protect capital
  • Prepare, review and present high-quality credit papers, portfolio reporting and Credit Committee materials with clear analysis and recommendations
  • Lead portfolio activity including drawdowns, amendments, change-of-control and early termination processes, ensuring compliance with policy, documentation and governance standards
  • Act as a primary point of contact for borrowers and brokers on portfolio matters, building effective relationships and escalating complex issues with ownership
