About this role

Our Internal Audit group is an independent function accountable to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, the Office of the Chairman, senior management and global regulators. With more than 1,000 auditors across key locations worldwide, the team assesses the adequacy of control environments across all lines of business.

As an Audit Manager within the EMEA Asset Management Audit team, you develop and execute the annual audit plan. You manage engagements, perform or oversee testing, and participate in relevant control and governance forums aligned to the business.

You work closely with global Audit colleagues to ensure legal entity coverage and identify emerging control issues early. Strong working relationships are maintained with business management, risk, compliance, external auditors and regulators while preserving independence.

Stay current with evolving industry and regulatory changes. Drive efficiency through automation of existing infrastructure and adopt innovative opportunities offered by new technologies in the audit process.

Requirements

  • Several years of internal or external auditing experience or relevant financial services experience
  • Experience with internal audit methodology and applying concepts in audit delivery and execution
  • Solid understanding of internal control concepts with ability to evaluate adequacy of controls considering business and technology risks
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills for communicating complex issues to senior management
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to build credibility and partnerships with senior business and control partners
  • Strong analytical skills for assessing probability and impact of internal control weaknesses
  • Flexible with changing business priorities and proven ability to multitask in a constantly changing environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead audit engagements from planning through fieldwork and reporting, delivering quality work to department and professional standards on time and within budget
  • Partner with global Audit colleagues to ensure legal entity coverage and report emerging control issues promptly to management and stakeholders
  • Build relationships with business management, risk, compliance, external auditors and regulators while maintaining independence
  • Finalize audit findings with root cause analysis and provide an overall opinion on the control environment with recommendations to strengthen controls
  • Communicate audit findings clearly to management and identify opportunities to improve the design and effectiveness of key controls
  • Execute continuous monitoring and auditing programs, tracking key metrics to detect control issues and adverse trends
  • Manage teams effectively, review work performed and provide honest, constructive feedback
  • Apply automation to existing technical infrastructure and adopt new technologies to improve audit efficiency
