
About this role
This is a broad role within the Risk team, supporting all areas of the business in managing risks and potential losses of the insurance markets in which we operate. The primary focus is on Risk Reporting and Risk Oversight, ensuring the organisation's risk profile is clearly understood and monitored against appetite.
As a Risk Analyst, you will analyse and interpret risk data to produce clear, insightful management information. You will monitor and assess the risk profile, identify and escalate breaches, near misses, and emerging risk issues, and produce risk reporting for committees and senior management.
This role sits within the Risk function and provides independent challenge to the business. You will track actions and decisions to support effective governance, contribute to risk reviews and oversight activities, and work closely with senior management and committees.
The role offers the chance to contribute to key risk processes and projects, including the ORSA and Validation. You will also support the production of regulatory reports and submissions, gaining practical experience in a leading Lloyd's insurance group.
Requirements
- Risk management experience, ideally within insurance or financial services
- Experience in risk reporting, MI production, or risk analysis preferred
- Proficient knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Broad understanding of risk management frameworks and concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Ability to exercise judgement and provide constructive challenge
- Clear and confident communicator, able to engage stakeholders at different levels
- Progress towards a professional qualification (e.g. IRM, ACII) is desirable
Responsibilities

- Identify, investigate and escalate breaches, near misses, and emerging risk issues
- Produce and deliver risk reporting for committees and senior management forums
- Track actions, decisions and follow-ups to support effective governance
- Contribute to independent risk reviews and oversight activities
- Contribute to the delivery of key risk processes and projects, including ORSA and Validation
- Support the production of regulatory reports and submissions, ensuring outputs meet required standards
