About this role

Zodia Custody, an FCA and CBI registered VASP backed by Standard Chartered Bank and Northern Trust, offers Crypto-Custody services to Institutional Investors. You will join a dynamic team with strong expertise in crypto assets. Your role ensures customers, partner custodians and Crypto Assets Service Providers comply with highest KYC, CDD, AML/CTF/Sanction standards to meet regulatory obligations.

Assist Sales and Relationship Managers with onboarding new customers and CASPs. Coordinate Client Acceptance process ensuring documentation reviewed and approved per CDD Procedures. Provide guidance ensuring statutory and regulatory information managed per AML/CTF regulations and Zodia’s Standards.

Perform CDD and EDD verifications on CASPs for FATF Recommendation 13 and 16 compliance. Analyze Ownership and Controls to identify ultimate beneficial ownership considering risk factors like Country of Incorporation, Negative News, PEPs. Manage screening on entities, directors, UBOs, and dispose of false positive alerts.

Operate in a 24x7 environment with global expansion from UK/Ireland to US and Asia. Implement controls for CDD and Alert Management as first line of defence. Escalate risks to AML-FCC Manager and ensure adherence to Risk Type Frameworks.

Requirements

Understanding of Know Your Client, Client Due Diligence, AML/CTF/Sanctions requirements
Knowledge of FATF Recommendation 13 and 16 for CASPs correspondent relationships
Ability to perform Ownership and Controls analysis for UBO identification
Experience assessing risk factors including Country of Incorporation, Negative News, PEPs
Proficiency in screening parties such as entities, directors, shareholders, UBOs
Familiarity with cross-checking information against reputable independent sources
Awareness of regulatory obligations and Zodia’s risk appetite in crypto ecosystem

Responsibilities

Assist Sales and Relationship Managers with onboarding process of new customers and partner custodians or CASPs
Coordinate Client Acceptance process to ensure onboardings supported by relevant documentation, reviewed and approved
Provide guidance and support to Sales and Clients ensuring compliance with AML/CTF regulations and Zodia’s Standards
Perform CDD and EDD verifications on Crypto Assets Service Providers counterparties for FATF Recommendation 13 and 16
Perform analysis of Ownership and Controls to identify ultimate beneficial ownership and apply risk categorisation
Conduct periodic reviews of existing clients and CASPs, escalating findings to Compliance and Financial Crime
Complete and review screening on Entity Names, Directors, UBOs, and dispose of false positive alerts
Implement controls and processes related to CDD and Alert Management
