Are you a highly experienced investment professional with a proven track record of evaluating and managing complex investments in fast-moving digital companies? Uncapped invites you to apply for Senior Investment Associate in our Risk team. You will work closely with diverse founders to secure financing for growing businesses.

Report to the Director of Investments and develop deeper understanding of geographies, sectors, business models, and use cases. Evaluate complex and larger applicants while supporting Junior Investment Associates on smaller deals. Analyse financial statements, business plans, and risks from business models, macro, and sectoral trends.

Act as gatekeeper for safe decisions and drive continuous improvements in underwriting models. Explore new approaches and data sources to enhance capabilities. Meet customers through underwriting to understand business models and risk profiles.

Coach junior analysts, contribute to Credit Committee reviews, and collaborate with Product teams. Help create new products and think outside the box for creative solutions. Fund thousands of growing businesses that power the global economy and Uncapped's success.

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of experience
  • Finance education, preferably a finance degree or MBA
  • Experience in venture capital, venture debt, and the start-up ecosystem preferred
  • Strong analytical skills to build and decipher complex financial models for underwriting
  • Proven track record evaluating and managing complex investments in fast-moving digital companies
  • Ability to identify risks from business models, macro, and sectoral trends
  • Expertise in geographies, sectors, business models, and use cases served

Responsibilities

  • Analyse large customer applications and make recommendations on size, length, and structure of capital advances
  • Meet customers through the underwriting process to understand their business model and risk profile
  • Support the Director of Investments in improving underwriting capabilities through continuous process improvements
  • Stand in for the Director of Investments in their absence
  • Act as a coach to junior analysts, helping with complex cases and providing continuous feedback
  • Help create new products and work with commercial and technology teams to bring ideas to life
  • Contribute to Credit Committee retrospective reviews
  • Improve underwriting capabilities by enhancing models, increasing automation, and introducing data sources
