About this role

Bloomberg’s Legal & Compliance Department supports businesses and operations worldwide, addressing complex legal issues creatively and collaboratively. We seek a 12-month contractor as Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption (ABAC) Compliance Officer to support overall ABAC risk management across global businesses. This role suits a compliance professional with solid ABAC foundation eager for increased responsibility.

You will handle ABAC third party risk management for vendors, media partnerships, philanthropic organizations, and customers. Respond to employee requests for pre-approvals on gifts, meals, entertainment to government officials. Conduct monthly corporate card expense reviews, ad hoc communication escalations, and document violations.

Perform due diligence on third parties, update ABAC policies, procedures, and training modules. Analyze and track vendor responses to ABAC risk questionnaires. Join a small, globally focused ABAC Compliance team reporting to the Team Leader for Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption and Investigations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, legal, risk, audit, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of anti-bribery and anti-corruption concepts and regulations (e.g., FCPA, UK Bribery Act)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, produce metrics, and present to stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills

Responsibilities

  • Support ABAC third party risk management for vendors, media partnerships, philanthropic organizations, and customers
  • Assess ABAC risk from gifts, meals, entertainment, hiring practices, bidding, and government official interactions
  • Respond to employee requests for pre-approval of gifts, meals, and entertainment offered to government officials
  • Conduct monthly corporate card expense reviews and ad hoc electronic communication escalations reviews
  • Communicate with employees on possible policy violations and document in the system of record
  • Conduct due diligence on third parties
  • Update ABAC policies, procedures, and training modules (online and live)
  • Analyze, follow up, and track vendor responses to anti-bribery and anti-corruption risk questionnaires
