The internship program targets students and recent graduates pursuing careers in Investment Banking within a dynamic advisory team. Established in April 2023, the inaugural European office provides a unique entrepreneurial opportunity.

The Lifesciences Team advises clients in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare services, medical devices, tools and diagnostics on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, capital raising and strategic transactions. Interns serve as junior analysts on deal teams handling strategic advisory, M&A and financing assignments. They gain meaningful exposure to senior bankers and client representatives.

Candidates join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial team valuing initiative, creativity, maturity and enthusiasm for learning. Interns build relationships with junior bankers globally in an environment focused on healthcare sector interest. The role demands hard work in a small team serving top executives.

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interest for problem solving and client service
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and MS Word
  • Genuine interest in finance, resourcefulness, intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm
  • Understanding of financial valuation
  • Significant level of maturity and ability to work under pressure to meet client deadlines
  • Highly organized and proactive with initiative to multitask and work with limited supervision
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform company and industry research to understand sector trends, client challenges and strategies
  • Prepare and participate in client presentations and transaction execution
  • Support deal teams in building, maintaining and using financial models
  • Perform financial and valuation analysis including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout and multiples valuation
  • Develop understanding of Investment Banking products and services: Debt, Equity, Mergers and Acquisitions and Restructuring
  • Interact with senior bankers, clients, lawyers and accountants
